PixelLimit Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

Overview

PixelLimit is a Chrome extension designed to help users manage browsing time through user-started timed sessions and a visual image effect.

PixelLimit is designed to operate primarily on the user’s device. No PixelLimit account is required.

Information PixelLimit handles

PixelLimit may locally handle information required for its core features, including:

  • session duration and timer state;
  • session settings and preferences;
  • excluded websites or website/domain information needed to determine where PixelLimit should operate;
  • selected photo information;
  • personal photos voluntarily added by the user; and
  • local data required to render the PixelLimit visual effect.

This information is used to provide PixelLimit’s functionality. PixelLimit’s core data processing is local on your device.

Personal photos

PixelLimit allows you to select personal photos to use during a session. Personal photos are stored and processed locally on your device. PixelLimit does not upload those photos to our servers, and we do not receive or view them.

PixelLimit does not own or receive your personal photos.

Browsing and website information

PixelLimit needs to know which eligible webpage or website you are currently using so it can display the visual effect, maintain session behavior, and respect excluded-site settings.

Website/domain information used for these purposes is processed locally. PixelLimit does not send a list of visited webpages or browsing history to an external PixelLimit server. PixelLimit does not transmit webpage content to us.

This means PixelLimit does access website context locally when needed for exclusions and operation; it does not send that context to PixelLimit.

Local storage and retention

PixelLimit uses Chrome-provided local storage mechanisms, including extension storage and local browser storage such as IndexedDB where appropriate, to retain settings, session state, selected image information, and locally stored photos.

Local data may remain until you remove it, clear extension or browser data, or uninstall PixelLimit.

Data we do not collect

PixelLimit does not intentionally collect or transmit to us:

  • names
  • email addresses through the extension
  • passwords
  • authentication credentials
  • financial or payment information
  • health information
  • personal communications
  • precise location
  • webpage content
  • personal photos
  • advertising identifiers

Emailing contact@travelvaluescore.com is voluntary. Ordinary email communication is handled through your and the recipient’s email providers.

No sale of user data

PixelLimit does not sell user data. PixelLimit does not transfer user data to third parties for advertising, marketing, data-broker, or credit/lending purposes.

No analytics or tracking

For the current version of the website and extension, PixelLimit does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If analytics are ever added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or at the time they are introduced.

Permissions

storage
Used to save PixelLimit settings, session state, exclusions, and related local extension information.
alarms
Used to maintain reliable session timing under Chrome Manifest V3 behavior.
idle
Used to recognize idle or locked device states so inactive device time is not incorrectly treated as active browsing time.
scripting
Used for limited recovery of PixelLimit’s own content script on eligible already-open webpages when needed after extension installation, update, or reload.
HTTP/HTTPS host permissions
Used because PixelLimit’s visual effect needs to operate on ordinary websites you visit and needs website context for excluded-site behavior.

These permissions are used for PixelLimit’s single stated purpose: helping you manage browsing time with a local visual effect.

Remote code

PixelLimit does not execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly as part of the extension. Executable extension code is packaged with the extension.

Data security

Keeping PixelLimit’s primary user data on-device reduces the amount of user information transmitted externally. No security practice can eliminate every possible risk, but PixelLimit is designed to minimize unnecessary transmission.

Children

PixelLimit is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The extension does not require an account or transmit personal photos to PixelLimit.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if PixelLimit’s functionality or data practices change. The “Last updated” date will change whenever material changes are made.
